Re: Marcus Okafor, DOB 04/02/1961

I would be grateful for your assessment of this 65 year old gentleman who describes eight weeks of episodic vertigo, with the room spinning for up to two minutes when he rolls over in bed. His wife has noticed jerky eye movement during attacks and he reports marked nausea when he turns his head quickly. No hearing loss reported. Background of hypertension, on amlodipine. No head injury. Examination: nystagmus seen on left lateral gaze.

He remains able to work but is avoiding driving.
