Triavanta Helper — clinic set-up (Windows or Mac) ================================================== What it does - Watches the folder your SR / secure-referral system saves referrals into. - Passes each new file to Triavanta open in the browser on the same computer. - Saves each approved letter into the SR outbox folder for SR to send back to the GP. - Referral files never leave this computer through the helper. One-time set-up (IT or practice manager, ~5 minutes) 1. Install Node.js 18 or newer from https://nodejs.org (LTS). 2. Save triagepath-helper.mjs somewhere permanent, e.g. C:\Triavanta\ or ~/Triavanta/. 3. Set the SR system to export incoming referrals to one folder, and to pick up outgoing letters from another folder. 4. Start the helper: Windows: node C:\Triavanta\triagepath-helper.mjs --inbox "C:\SR\Incoming" --outbox "C:\SR\Outgoing" Mac: node ~/Triavanta/triagepath-helper.mjs --inbox ~/SR/Incoming --outbox ~/SR/Outgoing (No folders given? It uses Triavanta/SR-Incoming and Triavanta/SR-Outgoing in your home folder.) 5. To start it automatically: Windows Task Scheduler "At log on", or Mac Login Items. Daily use - Open Triavanta in Chrome or Edge on this computer. The Inbox shows "Clinic helper connected". - New referrals appear in the worklist on their own and are read straight away. - Pressing "Approve & file to SR" saves the outcome letter into the outbox folder. - Read files move into Incoming\processed so nothing is read twice. Prototype note: use synthetic referrals only until privacy and security sign-off is complete. RUNNING ON A CLINIC SERVER (optional, version 1.1+) -------------------------------------------------- One helper can serve every reception and clinician computer: node triagepath-helper.mjs --host 0.0.0.0 --port 4417 \ --token "" \ --cert server-cert.pem --key server-key.pem \ --inbox "D:\SR\Incoming" --outbox "D:\SR\Outgoing" - HTTPS (--cert/--key) and a token are required in server mode. - Keep port 4417 open on the clinic network only, never to the internet. - In Triavanta: Dashboard > SR folder helper > Helper location, enter https://:4417 and the token, then "Save and test". - Approved letters are written to the outbox folder as soon as a clinician presses "Approve & file", where the SR system picks them up. - To run it in the background: Windows Task Scheduler ("At startup") or macOS/Linux: pm2 / systemd running the same command.
